About Gum Health HQ
Hi, and thanks for stopping by.
Gum Health HQ exists for one simple reason: finding honest, plain-English information about oral-health products — especially newer ones like oral probiotics — is genuinely hard. Most of what’s online is either aggressive sales copy promising miracle results, or thin “reviews” that exist only to push a sale. We wanted to build something different.
Who’s behind this site
This site is run byJohn Abbadon, an independent researcher and writer with a personal interest in oral and gum health — not a dentist or medical professional.
That last part matters, and we want to be upfront about it: we are not dentists, hygienists, or doctors. Everything you read here is researched and written by someone who reads the available science, the product details, and real user experiences, then explains them in plain English. We’re transparent about this precisely because honesty is the whole point of the site.
How we research and write
For every article, we aim to:
- Read the actual evidence. Where research exists on a topic (like oral probiotics or xylitol), we look at what the studies actually say — including their limits — rather than cherry-picking.
- Stay balanced. We include the cons, not just the pros. If something is unproven, overhyped, or not worth the money, we say so.
- Avoid medical claims. We don’t claim any product “cures” or “treats” disease. We describe what products are designed to do and what’s realistically known.
- Keep it readable. No jargon walls — just clear explanations a normal person can use.
How we make money (full transparency)
Gum Health HQ is reader-supported through affiliate commissions. Some of our articles contain affiliate links, which means if you click through and buy a product, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.
Here’s our promise: commissions never change our honest opinion. We recommend things because we believe they may be worth considering, and we’re equally willing to tell you when something isn’t. You can read our full Affiliate Disclosure for the details.
A genuine word of caution
The information on this site is for general education only — it is not medical or dental advice. Oral-health supplements can support good habits, but they are never a substitute for brushing, flossing, and seeing a dental professional. If you have pain, persistent bleeding, swelling, or any ongoing oral-health problem, please see a dentist — no article or supplement replaces a real diagnosis.
